The Solution approach in our programs
have emerged from the enormous contribution made to the
fields of counselling and hypnotherapy by the late Dr
Milton Erickson. The approach has been further developed
by other contemporary theorists including Dr Rob McNeilly, Steve de Shazer and Bill O’Hanlon. We also
honour and integrate the work of Fernando Flores, Rafael
Echeverria, Humberto Maturana, Julio Olalla and Scott
Miller.
Solution
approaches are being incorporated into contemporary
organisational and human resource management systems.
The solution focus on what’s working well provides a
highly pragmatic yet subtle way to create positive change for
people, teams and organisations. The principle of the
solution approach is to find what works and do more of
it.

The Counselling and Hypnotherapy
Programs offer a professional qualification for
counsellors, welfare professionals,
community workers, school teachers
and guidance officers, health
professionals and anyone working in
the human services fields.
Increasingly students are drawn from
human resource and business
managers. The diversity adds to our
learning. Gaining the right qualifications
doesn’t require taking on a
prolonged and costly academic path.
Participants can maintain their
present work and lifestyle, without
the concern of taking time away from
the workplace.

Diploma
of Solution Oriented Hypnosis
|
Building on an Ericksonian
Approach
|
| |
|
The enchantment hypnosis
brings to therapy continues to intrigue.
Program Principles
The learning experience of
this program is both unique and everyday. The
program gives precedence to experience over
theory, curiosity over fixed explanations and
individual differences over categorising into
groups or classes.
Previous participants’ remark
that their individuality is enhanced – personal
and professional – and their unique style of
working becomes more obvious as the program
unfolds.
The program emphasises the
work of Milton Erickson and his ability to
utilise the patterns by which clients limit
their range of possibilities.
Ericksonian approaches
emphasise the utlisation of the resources and
patterns of self-expression as the basis for
therapeutic trance development and client
transformation.
Because this program gives
precedence to experience over theory, curiosity
over fixed explanations, and individual
differences over categorising into groups or
classes, participants can expect to be more like
themselves and less like any of those who may
already be seen as expert in the field. Previous
participants comment that their individuality is
enhanced – personal and professional – and their
individual style of working becomes more obvious
as the program unfolds.
Program Structure
The program includes CD
lectures, written notes, DVD demonstrations,
written assignments, supervision, and most
important of all, practice. Ultimately it is
what participants learn and take into their
clinical experience that will be crucial.
Anything that is heard, read, observed or
discussed, including personal growth, will
become relevant as it incorporated in life or
work.
